Chemistry
The Chemistry Department at the College of Education was established in 1978-1979 as part of Salahaddin University in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Since its inception, the department has been dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering scientific research in chemistry. It has played a crucial role in preparing generations of skilled educators, researchers, and professionals who have contributed to developing science and education in the region.
The department initially focused on undergraduate education, offering a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry to train students in chemistry's fundamental principles and applications. Over the years, the department expanded its academic programs, and in the early years of its establishment, it welcomed its first postgraduate students, marking a significant milestone in its journey. The introduction of postgraduate programs allowed for advanced studies and research, enabling students to specialize in various fields of chemistry and contribute to scientific advancements.
